Abstract: China Hardware Products Association will hold a grand awarding ceremony in Jinsha Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong, and award Jinsha Town the title of "China Daily Hardware Capital". Jinsha Town used to be a little-known town. In recent years, the hardware industry in the town has gradually formed an industrial cluster, which has become famous at home and abroad. Especially in the use of information network technology to transform and upgrade the traditional hardware industry, Jinsha Town has given full play to it. After the 1990s, due to the strong support of the Jinsha Town government to private enterprises, the hardware industry in Jinsha Town has made a leap. At the end of the last century, facing the challenges and opportunities brought about by my country's entry into the WTO, as well as the reality of the sudden emergence of the hardware industry in other regions of the country, Jinsha Town established the development strategy of "informatization to promote industrial modernization".
Jinsha Town relies on modern information network technology to integrate various resources, establish an industrial technology innovation service system to implement industrial technology innovation, and inject new impetus into the development of the hardware industry.
Since the end of 1999, Jinsha Town has successively established non-profit technological innovations such as Guangdong Hardware Technology Innovation Center, South China Hardware***, Nanhai Huazhong Jinwang New Technology Development Center, South China Hardware Network Technology Training Center, and South China Hardware Intellectual Property Service Center. Intermediary service agencies, with Guangdong Hardware Technology Innovation Center as the core, integrate the resources of various agencies, and form a technology innovation platform for resource sharing. Jinsha Town makes full use of information network technology to effectively transform and upgrade the entire traditional hardware industry.
It is understood that the "South China Hardware***" funded by the government has become the largest hardware professional e-commerce platform in South China and the third largest in the country. Since the website was launched, the number of members has continued to increase. As of August 2004, the number of members has reached more than 7,800, and the daily supply and demand information has exceeded 500.
According to incomplete statistics, Jinsha Town's hardware member companies have a monthly transaction volume of 20 million to 30 million yuan through the website, creating a lot of business opportunities for member companies. In 2003, the value of transactions reached by local members of South China Hardware*** through the Internet reached 780 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 95%.
Today in Jinsha Town, the hardware industry has not only developed into a pillar industry, but also one of the traditional pillar industries in Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong. In 2003, the town's hardware industry output value reached 2.1 billion yuan, accounting for more than 80% of the town's total industrial output value.
